Description
Summary:The Chilean Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MINVU) Housing Complex Regeneration Program was established in response to the urgent need of reducing the qualitative deficit in social housing and to upgrade high-rise housing condominiums. Based on early experiences, a management model was outlined that allowed to identify a series of problems derived from these projects’ lengthy execution schedules. This study identifies dimensions in the management, design and implementation of the processes that will allow to reduce their implementation times, by means of a comparative analysis of three study cases under development. At the diagnostics stage, the reorganization of the required studies is recommended. At the mobility and construction stage, the technology applied to construction systems has a relevant impact on execution schedules.
