| Summary: | Currently, the relevant views in historic urban landscapes present threats that attempt their visual integrity and values, despite the fact that they are recognized, by the scientific and institutional community, as important resources for the preservation of cultural identity and socio-economic development of cities. Theoretical and practical studies in this regard are still insufficient and have limitations in terms of the level of integration in the procedures for their management. This article proposes a conceptual model for its preservation, based on the integrated conception of urban management, from the integration of systemic, strategic, participatory and historical urban landscape approaches. This presupposes a process that contributes to the balance between the satisfaction of the needs of today’s society and the protection of the relevant views, in a conception of improvement of both components. |
