The aim of this article lies in the conceptualization of new strategies for decision-making and for promoting participatory synergies in which the academic field is actively involved, in contexts where inequality and socio-spatial vulnerability are progressively deepening. For its development, two experiences are taken as case studies, one urban and the other rural, in which, even from their undoubted differences, there are similarities in the approach of emerging linked to the deterioration and / or lack of public or community spaces, the difficulties to achieve or to sustain social cohesion and organization and the dynamics of scientific feedback, as important aspects in community participation process.
