Description
Résumé:The article results from the interest in the process of conformation of the suburban area of Yerba Buena in Tucumán, which started in the last years of the 19th century and was consolidated by the end of the 20th century. To understand the transformation through which this territory has changed its role from rural space to suburban space, it explores the growth in that sector during the twentieth century, from the point of view of the process of suburbanization and based on the notion of “patch urbanization”. In this context, and from a historical perspective, it is intended to make a contribution to the knowledge of the edges of the metropolitan territory of Tucumán, focusing on the expansion by extension and by densification with the characteristics of an urban landscape of garden suburb in the municipality of Yerba Buena.
