Sumario:This article points out the historical transformations in the urban fabric of the Noroeste vector of São Paulo capital, structured by Anhanguera-Bandeirantes highway system, main axis of connection between the two largest and richest metropolitan regions of the state –São Paulo and Campinas–, and on which is structured and consolidated the formation of a new Metropolitan Territory Dimension, sprawl and fragmented.
