Opis
Streszczenie:Towards the end of 1930, Argentina began a patrimonialization process that consolidated the colonial architecture as a reference of national identity. After a few years, in order to safeguard the recently catalogued buildings´ integrity, the colosal task of documenting and restoring them had to be addressed. The present work exposes the relevance of the earthen architecture during the process of patrimonialization between 1938 and 1946. It takes the chapel of Yavi as a case study of the intervention criteria implemented on National Historic Monuments of modest scale located in Jujuy province and it analyses the relations between the documentary records and the specialists´ and local communities´ assessments.
