Description
Summary:This article presents some reflections from a study of a housing policy developed in the northwest region of the province of Cordoba, Argentina, which seeks the eradication of hut housing. These households have been historically built with local resources, where the use of earth as a construction material predominates. Conceptually conducted by the notions of modest material heritage and intangible heritage, we deepen in the analysis of the premises that guide this action of  the State, identifying three axes of meaning: the meta-narrative of modernity, that is inscribed in the statement on development and progress, the epistemic perspective with which know ledge is constructed for the intervention in social problems, and the place occupiedby "the material" in this proposal.
