On the other hand, it was established by decree the implementation of old pre-columbian techniques. The mentioned earthquake is showed as the starting point of this article to present a bibliographic review about the constructive earthen techniques in the Peruvian territory, which can be considered and applied nowadays on the earth constructive culture.

Hace aproximadamente tres siglos una catástrofe conmovió al Perú. Lima fue devastada por un sismo cuya intensidad en la escala de Mercalli modificada ha sido estimada en grado X. Para la reconstrucción de la ciudad de Lima, se adoptaron diversos criterios. Por un lado, se reformaron las técnicas constructivas y, por otro, se estableció, por decreto, la implementación de diversas técnicas precolombinas de edificación. Algunas de estas construcciones persisten en la actualidad. El evento sísmico mencionado, se propone como punto de partida para presentar una revisión bibliográfica de los principales autores que mencionan los sistemas constructivos de las huacas, que pueden proporcionar un conocimiento significativo a considerar y aplicar en la cultura constructiva con tierra en la actualidad.
