Exemplifications and considerations about the subjects were very varied. Later on, other moments of production are glimpsed, in a search for a continental, national or regional identity produced by history, art and architecture. Without publications since 1973, Anales returns in 1988, when Latin American issues had taken on new relevance. After Buschiazzo, successive directors such as Roberto Fernández, Jorge Liernur and Alberto de Paula continued with equally diverse content but expanding the investigation topics. In 2011, a final stage has begun, with a renewed design and thematic content in each delivery, with PhD Arch. Mario Sebastián Sabugo as the current Director.

Anales fue una publicación de características prácticamente únicas al momento de su fundación. Durante la primera etapa, entre 1948 y 1972, contó con 24 entregas dirigidas por el arquitecto Mario J. Buschiazzo. Este período estuvo principalmente orientado a la presentación, análisis y crítica del arte y la arquitectura latinoamericanos, en especial del período colonial, con ejemplos y consideraciones temáticas variadas. Con posterioridad, se vislumbran otros momentos de esa producción en una búsqueda por conformar, a partir de la historia, un arte y arquitectura con identidad continental, nacional y regional. Carente de publicaciones desde 1973, Anales reaparece en 1988, cuando la temática latinoamericana había recobrado relevancia. Buschiazzo es sucedido por Roberto Fernández, Jorge Liernur y Alberto de Paula, quienes continuaron la línea editorial e incluyeron nuevas temáticas a un repertorio de contenidos igualmente diverso. En 2011 inició una última etapa, con renovado diseño y un contenido temático por entrega, bajo la dirección del Dr. Arq. Mario Sebastián Sabugo.
