Περίληψη:During the 1960s there was a change of cultural paradigm, in which some female architects were able to stand out, under their own name, in professional activities such as design, building and research, fields traditionally occupied by men. The principal aim of this paper is to release the results of a biographical research on Chel Ita Negrin, one of the first and multifaceted Argentinian architects graduated in La Plata, Buenos Aires Province. She knew how to combine the traditional aspect of the profession with teaching, academic research and artistic explorations between Argentina and Mexico. In summary, this article is an attempt to contribute to the Latin American architecture historiography with a particular emphasis in gender perspective.
