总结:The objective of this paper is to analyze ‘Le Grand Louvre’ project, specifically evaluate the external appearance of the Louvre Museum with the Pyramid, the look inside the Pyramid, make an overall assessment of the Louvre with Pyramid and identify the preference for the Louvre Museum with and without the Pyramid, in addition to the main justification for such assessments. These are carried out by people with different levels of familiarity with the Louvre Museum (Brazilian and French), and with different ages, levels and types of educational background. These assessments are supplemented by analyzes based on empirical aesthetics and use of space. Data were collected through questionnaires in Portuguese and French, presented to people in Brazil and in France via e-mailed letter with instructions and with the address access to LimeSurvey software. The total sample consisted of 128 respondents who had visited the Louvre Museum. Data were analyzed using frequencies of responses and non-parametric statistical tests in SPSS. The results show, for example, that the large majority of respondents think the external appearance of the Louvre Museum with the Pyramid is very satisfactory. The main reasons are associated with: the contrast of the pyramid with the old Museum and consequent visual stimulus; and the fact the Pyramid visually enhance the old Museum. Still, the clear majority of respondents prefer the Louvre Museum with than without the Pyramid. Therefore, the results indicate, based on Museum’ users perceptions, the aesthetics and the use suitability of the ‘Le Grand Louvre’ project. Keywords: ‘Le Grand Louvre’ project, aesthetic evaluation, analysis of uses.
