Gaia:The present paper about the UFA Palace in Dresden tries to reveal the way in which an architectural paradigm proves to be a link in the evolution chain of the history of architecture from everything that an architect observes, perceives and post-interprets. Thus, we notice in the UFA Palace some re-elaborated or re-discovered architectural elements and spatial situations from the architecture of Le Corbusier, Kiesler, Piranesi, El Lissitzky, Kasimir Malevich, Marcel Breuer, or James Stirling. The architectural work we analyze demonstrates to be didactic because it observes the past without imitating it, but being inspired by it, it simultaneously gets adapted to the zeitgeist and to continue being a paradigm. Key words: Coop Himmelb(l)au, UFA, Dresden, deconstruction.
