More specifically, the paper investigates the principles of projectual order governing the architectural parties. Through the Aristotle’s text it is sought to understand the concepts that will later be processed by this Roman architect. It is also studied the architects’ theoretical training by that time in order to understand the transit of these concepts in the treatise construction on the first century BC. Seeking to illustrate the principles discussed, that relate the parts of a project based on the concepts of ordinatio and dispositio, it is presented the study of architectural parties to temples, based on the definitions contained in the Vitruvian treatise. Looking for a different approach, it is introduced the concept of a matrix of parties, and it is discussed its applicability in the design of architectural party. Key words: projectual order, Vitruvius, architectural party.
