总结:I tend to think that what distinguishes real architecture from mere civil construction relies on poetics. I should say that that’s also what distinguishes poetry from mere rhyme, music from mere rhythm, beauty from mere niceness or even love from mere seduction. These differences can quite easily be understood, but haven’t yet been reasonably explained. We can refer to geometrical or musical harmonies when speaking of architectural and musical composition, for instance, or we can talk about rhyme and rhythm (or metre) in what’s related to the composition of poetry. Nevertheless, there is something else in beauty, apart from perfect harmony or apart from perfect composition. Beauty has to do with soul, it has to do with affection. But how can we manage to convey these ideas to a young student or to a regular citizen? How can we express these ideas to each one of us? Keywords: architecture, beauty, poetics, harmony, composition.
