Specifically this article reviews the definitions of transparency from the work of Colin Rowe and Robert Slutzky; Arthur Korn; Paul Scheebart and Bruno Taut to the idea of virtuality through the thoughts of Paul Virilio, Bernard Tschumi and Jean Nouvel. Transparency and virtuality are an aspiration of this time and are associated ideas with a meta-attributes of architecture: the “State of Disappearance” of architecture. Key words: Transparency, virtuality, “State of Disappearance”. Este ensayo introduce los conceptos de transparencia y virtualidad como conceptos esenciales de la teoría y arquitectura del siglo XX y examina sus influencias en arte y tecnología. Específicamente este artículo revisa la idea de transparencia a través de Colin Rowe y Robert Slutzky; Arthur Korn; Paul Scheebart y Bruno Taut y la idea de virtualidad a través del pensamiento de Paul Virilio, Bernard Tschumi y Jean Nouvel. Transparencia y virtualidad son permanente aspiración de nuestra tiempo y están asociados con un meta-atributo de la arquitectura: el “Etado de Desaparición” de la arquitectura.
