Итог:This article proposes the recovery of the Historic Centers through the active participation ofcitizens in the configuration of their spaces, highlighting the heritage value and potential asa tourist attraction, of buildings currently in a state of abandonment, which maintainarchitectural, historical and cultural values or potential, to adapt to the new contexts in whichthey are immersed, giving new meanings to these centralities, without losing their intrinsicvalues. The collective recognition of the true essence of these spaces, translated into anarrative that is built on the memory of inhabitants and visitors, opens up the possibility ofmaking these now invisible spaces reappear. Through theoretical research and field study, based on memory, social and imaginary representations of citizens, about a cinema built inthe first half of the 20th century, in the Historic Center of the City of Xalapa, Veracruz, whichremains in the collective memory of citizens, the meanings granted or lost over time areanalyzed to contribute to their rebirth and that of similar spaces, as new detonator spaces oflife.
