Within the process offormation of the magical town of Zacatlán, there is a process of patrimonialization, that is:it is endowed with patrimonial values in different spaces, things and places within the urbanspace, which favors the touristification of the place, the city is reconfigured, which ends upnot being rescued for its conservation, nor promotion of the diversity of their customs and native peoples, there is only noticeable work for tourist consumption that borders on themassification of this activity. This situation is contradictory in relation to the objective ofthe Magical Towns Program, which highlights that both the promotion, conservation anddissemination of the cultural diversity of the magic towns of the country is a priority togenerate economic resources, and thus be able to promote development of the vulnerablecommunities that inhabit the towns.
