In this sense, we want to share ananalysis that allows us to understand how the landscape is configured, through amethodology that consists of six basic components for its reading and they are: the physicalenvironment, the morphology, the territorial system, the activity, the meaning and theimage. With these elements and the Cuauhtinchan Map 4, as a cartographic historical base,we try to characterize the territory as a heritage landscape. El Paisaje Conventual Franciscano en México, es el territorio caracterizado por elpatrimonio cultural construido durante el siglo XVI por la orden mendicante de SanFrancisco. Particularmente en Cuauhtinchán, municipio del Estado de Puebla, se localiza elmonasterio o convento franciscano, dedicado a San Juan Bautista, que constituye uno de loslegados históricos más importantes de la región. En este sentido, queremos compartir unanálisis que tiene como objetivo la valoración de este territorio como un paisajepatrimonial, para el cual fue usada una metodología de lectura del espacio que consta deseis componentes básicos: el medio físico, la morfología, el sistema territorial, la actividad,el significado y la imagen. Asimismo, se tomó como instrumento histórico-cartográfica alMapa de Cuauhtinchan 4, como el cimiento que permite comprender la estructura básicadel Paisaje Conventual Franciscano.
