要約:The present document exposes the results of a field research on the urban imaginaries of the segregation in Monterrey’s Metropolitan Area (AMMty), Mexico. There are included precedents of the urban studies based on the social imaginaries, the urban, social and spatial segregation, which obey differentiations from socioeconomic and territorial inequalities. Also, there is included the methodology chosen according to the parameters of the investigations of qualitative cut used, which consist of the compilation of life histories of residents that live on some of the “dangerous” or “insecure” colonies of the metropolis at issue, which describe perception of the “other one” whit his space and his community. Finally, there is reflected about the role of the urban imaginaries around the segregation as element to understand the behavior of the citizenship opposite to the residents of spaces stigmatized by the violence and insecurity, and of how through reasoning of the explored visions, it is possible to explain that the urban morphology isolates and excludes from constructs concerning the spatial identity.
