This is an investigation that began with that idea in mind, the experience of getting to know a city without actually being in it, the experience of seeing your own neighborhood on the screen and then remembering that you were there o maybe the experience of not recognizing that place. It all about trying to find out what they did to shows us the urban space, how they did it and why. All of this not in the big metropolis of the world, but in Hermosillo, Sonora with two concrete examples, the film: El Jeremías. Todos conocemos las grandes ciudades en el mundo, siempre son escenarios de los blockbusters de las millonarias producciones norte americanas, sin embargo, quizás nunca hemos estado físicamente en ellas, quizás todo lo que conocemos acerca de las mayores metrópolis del mundo sea gracias a historias ficticias o a un documental, gracias al cine a final de cuentas, medio que no solo nos muestra el espacio, sino que nos deja recorrerlo junto a los protagonistas de sus historias. Esta es una investigación que parte de esa idea, la experiencia de recorrer una ciudad sin estar en ella, la experiencia de ver tu propio barrio en pantalla y recordar cuando estuviste ahí o la experiencia de no reconocerlo. Se trata de determinar qué recursos se han usado en el espacio urbano y para qué fines se ha hecho. Todo esto no en las grandes metrópolis del mundo, sino en Hermosillo, Sonora con dos ejemplos concretos, el film: El Jeremías.
