His abundant work stands out for its diversity. In this paper, an aborted project "Places" that the author launched in 1969 and left shortly after, will be analyzed. In particular we will work on specific place, the Choiseul Arcade in Paris, selected with eleven other sites on which the author would apply a specific method. From a cultural geography perspective and especially from humanistic geography references, the treatment of this specific place is analyzed, showing how the specificity of the place and Perec's reduced empathy towards it, was part of the difficulties he had to face in carrying out the interesting project that he proposed. More than pointing out the failure of the project and stigmatizing it, the intention of the article is to show that the criteria used by the author to confront the places involved very strong restrictions that he could not resolve. At the same time, it is pointed out that Perec is possibly one of the writer with major connivance with the social sciences and the humanities, in particular to human geography, as others like Julien Gracq. Georges Perec ha sido reconocido como uno de los mayores escritores del siglo XX. Su abundante obra resalta por su diversidad. En este trabajo se analizará un proyecto abortado “Lugares” que el autor lanzó en 1969 y abandonó poco después. En particular, se trabajará sobre un lugar, el Pasaje Choiseul en París, seleccionado con otros once sitios sobre los cuales el autor aplicaría un método. Desde una perspectiva de geografía cultural y especialmente desde referencias de geografía humanista, se analiza el tratamiento de este lugar, mostrando cómo la especificidad d el lugar y la reducida empatía de Perec hacia el mismo fue parte de las dificultades que enfrentó para llevar a cabo el interesante proyecto que se había propuesto. Más que señalar el fracaso del proyecto y estigmatizarlo, la intención del artículo es mostrar que los criterios usados por el autor para enfrentar los lugares implicaron restricciones muy fuertes que no pudo solventar. A la vez se señala que Perec es posiblemente uno de los literatos con mayor cercanía a las ciencias sociales y las humanidades, en particular a la geografía humana, a la manera también de otros como Julien Gracq.
