The study intends that the method estimate the fulfillment of the urban spaces of the researched sectors to detect their weaknesses and strengths, thus enabling, proposing viable recommendations for improvements and implementation in urban intervention plans, such as, densification, mixed land use, green areas, maintenance, pedestrian zones, cycle routes, recreational spaces, bus stops, among others. La finalidad de este artículo es mostrar una metodología para la evaluación urbana de la dimensión cotidiana en uno o varios ámbitos de estudio a escala barrial, con el objetivo de presentar un sistema que permita valorar la percepción de los habitantes en distintas colonias, adecuándolo a cualquier ciudad del país, facultando analizarla por medio de indicadores urbanos aplicados a la vida cotidiana, para después ser visualizados en mapas realizados a través de un Sistema de Información Geográfica. El estudio pretende que el método estime el cumplimiento de los espacios urbanos de los sectores investigados para detectar sus debilidades y fortalezas, posibilitando así, proponer recomendaciones viables para mejoras e implementación en planes de intervención urbana, como lo son, la densificación, uso de suelo mixto, áreas verdes, mantenimiento, zonas peatonales, ciclo vías, espacios de esparcimiento, paradas de autobús, entre otras.
