However, in recent yearsthere has been a slight rebound in pulque production in some areas dedicated to the cultivation ofthe plant from which the precious nectar is obtained. This growth is related, among other factors,to the boom in the consumption of pulque in places where there has been an increase in touristactivity, specifically in certain rural areas. The present work seeks to explore from the publicpolicy approach, the impact that tourism has on the conservation of a central element for theheritage landscape of Hidalgo such as the Pulque Maguey. In the same way, elements of theproblem will be presented and the scope of generating an investigation that seeks to analyze theeffect that the development of public policies on tourism has on the conservation or not, of theheritage landscape of the maguey in specific areas of the State de Hidalgo and its influence onthe social construction of the rural. RESUMENLas zonas dedicadas al cultivo del Maguey pulquero y la producción del pulque sufrieron unacaída significativa en las últimas décadas del siglo veinte en Hidalgo. Sin embargo, en losúltimos años se ha dado un ligero repunte en la producción del pulque en algunas zonasdedicadas al cultivo de la planta de la cual se obtiene esta bebida. Este crecimiento se encuentrarelacionado, entre otros factores, al auge en el consumo del pulque en los lugares donde se haproducido un aumento en la actividad turística, específicamente en ciertos espacios rurales comoHuasca de Ocampo, Hidalgo. El presente trabajo busca explorar desde el enfoque de las políticaspúblicas, el impacto que tiene el turismo en Huasca de Ocampo para la conservación de unelemento central para el paisaje patrimonial de esta zona como lo es el maguey pulquero. Deigual manera, se presentarán elementos de la problemática y los alcances de generar unainvestigación que busque analizar el efecto que tiene el desarrollo de las políticas públicas enmateria de turismo en la conservación o no, del paisaje patrimonial del maguey en zonasespecíficas del Estado de Hidalgo y su influencia en la construcción social de lo rural.
