It focuses on the qualitative paradigm approach, based on the hermeneutic phenomenological method, with the versionists two recent graduates participants and four participants in performing the work of master’s degree UPEL IPB, who underwent in-depth interviews; and the respective analysis coding and categorization was used. The role of tutor, researcher reflexivity, difficulties in the process, new relationship of social actors, personal growth and importance of the experience: Among the findings were unveiled five guiding categories El artículo reporta un trabajo de investigación que tuvo como propósito Interpretar los significados sociales que emergen en el hacer de la investigación cualitativa en los trabajos de las maestrías de la UPEL – IPB. Se orienta en el enfoque paradigmático cualitativo, fundamentado en el método fenomenológico hermenéutico, siendo los versionantes dos participantes recién egresados y cuatro participantes en ejecución de su trabajo de grado de maestría de la UPEL IPB, a quienes se les realizó la entrevista a profundidad; y para el respectivo análisis se utilizó la codificación y la categorización.
