In this literary review, different scientific articles were analyzed in order to determine the performance of the different adherents used in hot asphalt mixes, the optimal percentages, and the different methods used to find resistance to moisture. It was found that the different adherent additives, both natural and chemical, show exceptional performance against moisture resistance, providing a long-lasting useful life for the pavement, in different optimal percentages that vary according to the aggregate used in the mixture. The most widely used methods to determine moisture resistance were the pull-out test, Vialit adhesion, modified Lottman test, and boiling water test Considerando la necesidad de garantizar una vida útil y duradera de las superficies viales, se ha generado el desarrollo de nuevos materiales que aseguren la adherencia entre el betún y los agregados, pudiendo combatir la falla causada por la humedad. En la presente revisión literaria se analizó diferentes artículos científicos con el objetivo de determinar el desempeño de los diferentes adherentes utilizados en las mesclas asfálticas en caliente, los porcentajes óptimos, y los diferentes métodos utilizados, para hallar la resistencia a la humedad. Se encontró que los diferentes aditivos adherentes, tanto naturales como químicos, muestran un rendimiento excepcional ante la resistencia a la humedad, brindando una vida útil duradera del pavimento, en diferentes porcentajes óptimos que varían de acuerdo al agregado utilizado en la mezcla.
