Civil Engineer graduated from the Lisandro Alvarado Centroccidental University (UCLA), and later accepted as a teacher in the same institution, died on July 5 of this year, in Barquisimeto city , Dr. María Ysabel Dikdan Jaua; his loss being unfortunate because his life and work transcended not only in Venezuela, but also in other borders. El comité editorial de la revista Gaceta Técnica a través de la presente editorial rinde homenaje póstumo a una destacada persona, quien participó como autora de artículos para esta publicación de carácter científico, así como evaluadora experta de contenidos para la misma. Ingeniero civil egresada de la Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA), y posteriormente acogida como docente en la misma institución, fallece el día 05 de julio del presente año, en la ciudad de Barquisimeto la Dra. María Ysabel Dikdan Jaua; siendo lamentable su pérdida porque su vida y obra trascendió no sólo en Venezuela, sino también en otras fronteras.
