It is a field research, not experimental descriptive, the representation shows 355 houses in 5 urbanisms. The relevant results showed a better architectural distribution of the houses than the ones developed in previous years, it showed an 80 % of urban equipment, 20,56% of the houses enclosures problems, 26,42% problems  related to the soil, 16.9% reveals the entry of  rain water and through windows 12.68% presents rain water entry  through the door. Although the percentages of housing failures have been reduced, the percentages of faults in infrastructure services have increased, that is, better homes that lack basic services have been built. Recommending taking advantage of the identified opportunities for improvement. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo central caracterizar la construcción pública y masiva de viviendas de interés social, ejecutadas entre los años 2005 al 2015 en los municipios Iribarren y Palavecino del Estado Lara, Venezuela, a fin de continuar la investigación realizada en los años entre 1994 y 2005, mediante la determinación de parámetros de evaluación relativos a características de diseño y construcción del urbanismo y las viviendas. Es una investigación de campo, no experimental descriptiva, la muestra la representan 355 viviendas en 5 urbanismos. Los resultados relevantes mostraron una mejor distribución arquitectónica de las viviendas con respecto a las desarrolladas en periodos anteriores, ejecución en un 80% del equipamiento urbano, 20,56% de los inmuebles presenta grietas en cerramientos, el 26.42% problemas relacionados con el suelo, el 16,9% revela entrada de agua de lluvia por ventanas y un 12,68% presentan entrada de agua de lluvia por la puerta. Aunque los porcentajes de las fallas de las viviendas han disminuido, los porcentajes de fallas en los servicios de infraestructura han aumentado, es decir se construyen mejores viviendas que carecen de servicios básicos. Recomendando aprovechar las oportunidades de mejora identificadas.
