| Résumé: | Some thinkers, especially Plato, Leon Battista Alberti, Aldo van Eyck, Martin Heidegger and João B. Vilanova Artigas, have supported their own thoughts about architecture, construction, housing and the city in an old Dictum, which states, “city is house/house is city”. This paper pretends to examine and reflect on the positioning of each of them in front of the message that hides in the blunt proverb, indicating the relationships, similarity and contradiction, which the different texts presents. |
