This paper pretends to examine and reflect on the positioning of each of them in front of the message that hides in the blunt proverb, indicating the relationships, similarity and contradiction, which the different texts presents. Alguns pensadores, notadamente Platão, Leon Battista Alberti, Aldo van Eyck, Martin Heidegger e João B. Vilanova Artigas, têm apoiado algumas de suas reflexões sobre a arquitetura – a construção, a habitação e a cidade – num antigo dictum que afirma que “cidade é casa/casa é cidade”. Este artigo analisa e reflete sobre o posicionamento de cada um deles frente à mensagem que subjaz ao contundente provérbio, indicando as relações de semelhança ou de contradição entre seus textos. Algunos pensadores, en especial Platón, Leon Battista Alberti, Aldo van Eyck, Martin Heidegger y João B. Vilanova Artigas, han sustentado algunas de sus ideas sobre arquitetura, construcción, habitación y ciudad en un antiguo dictum que afirma que “la ciudad es la casa/la casa es la ciudad”. Este artículo presenta un análisis y una reflexión sobre la posición de cada uno frente al mensaje que se esconde en el contundente proverbio, indicando las relaciones, similitudes y/o contradicciones, que los textos exponen.
