Crynodeb: | Modular volumetric architecture is a prefabricated system that, to build buildings, unites modules (three-dimensional units) on the land with limited dimensions due to transport constraints. How the modules are produced in the industry, they are standardized and make it challenging to achieve compositional variability needed to meet specific environmental characteristics. Modular volumetric systems generally consider a combination of a formal type of module joining them side by side. Studying combinations between modules of different types can contribute to increasing compositional variability. Considering the transport and the junction in predetermined points, it is necessary to adapt these modules within dimensional coordination, defining the places where these units will be fixed to each other, to guarantee the structural stability of the assembly and the patronization. The objective is to propose combinatorial alternatives between modules of different types (rectangular and trapezoidal) from connection sites previously determined by dimensional coordination. It contributes to the construction industry by demonstrating compositional variability while considering the standardization of the modules previously planned. |
