Sumario:This paper discusses the disdain the home construction industry has for architectural design, which is an essential aspect of a building's quality. Quality programs, such as Brazilian Program of Quality and Productivity of the Habitat - PBQP-H and ISO-9000, have never questioned the quality of the architectural space under construction. To this effect, the current article discusses the quality of architectural design in addition to its objective and subjective aspects.
