| Resumo: | This article discusses how the individual and collective urban memory is destroyed/rebuild, studying the experience of a neighborhood characterized by deep architectonic and urban changes and by social and economic vulnerability. We will focus some homeless memories in the Brás district, in São Paulo city. Three images by W. Benjamin will be developed: the trace, the scavenger and porosity. They don't show us the lack of a memory, but the "traces" that give a meaning to exile, to the nomad experience and build a fragile sense of place. |
