| Summary: | This study intends to evaluate the habitational quality of apartments in buildings with three or four floors, offered to university students in the city of São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil. Methods and techniques of POE - Post Occupancy Evaluation - were used with emphasis on the functional and structural aspects of the habitation unity and the common areas of the buildings. This survey is an original work at São Carlos and, from the evaluation of the buildings presently in use, useful information is generated for the definition of public politcs and for the urban planning, as well as for the estate market of São Carlos, helping the habitational planning to this specific market. |
