Keywords: Contemporary architecture; topology; design process Este artigo sistematiza referências à “topologia” - um campo da geometria - encontradas segundo certas recorrências temáticas em procedimentos projetuais e em qualificações espaciais que vem sendo investigadas na arquitetura contemporânea. A topologia é apresentada de maneira intuitiva a um leitor da área da arquitetura e da construção - não especializado no tema, portanto - pretendendo, deste modo, contribuir para uma compreensão maior e mais ampla do rico e diverso contato interdisciplinar entre arquitetura e topologia.
