A web tool is presented to estimate the building material, based on the designer information. The developed tool is free and is available online. The data used in this work was obtained from 137 Brazilian projects, including indices of architectural form, construction details and consumption of materials. Also, it is available a summary statistics of the 137 projects in order to allow comparisons with new projects (benchmark). Aiming to improve the tool, the designer can add the information of his performed construction. O desenvolvimento deste trabalho teve como objetivo a criação de um sistema de consultas online onde o projetista poderia inserir dados sobre seu edifício e receber valores estimados de índices (consumo médio de uma obra) a partir de uma base de dados de projetos já realizados. A fim de facilitar o acesso a esta base de dados, o sistema foi montado em forma de website para disponibilização online. Para a criação do banco de dados, utilizou-se como base de 137 projetos. Através da informação de cada projeto, tornou-se possível o levantamento de índices relativos à forma arquitonica, detalhes construtivos e indices de consumo de materiais. A ferramenta desenvolvida ajuda o engenheiro projetista a verificar dados e fazer uma comparação com outros projetos (benchmark), sendo uma forte ajuda para um projeto. A ferramenta se auto alimenta com os dados de projetistas que fizerem a análise. Universidade de São Paulo.
