Aiming to discuss the effective use of resources in the design studio, made a brief analysis of the pedagogical practices applied in these disciplines in Brazilian schools nowadays. The aim is also to reflect on possible discrepancies between the evolution of tools to support design and development of teachers of design qualifications. Through these discussions and analysis is intended to contribute to an evaluation of the qualifications needed by teachers of design today - and those who act in the future- and pedagogical practices to be used at a time, now imminent, in which the use of virtual tools will predominate and that teachers need to talk with your student in compatible language. Este trabalho trata da formação do arquiteto e dos modelos de ensino praticado nas escolas de Arquitetura e Urbanismo brasileiras, em especial nas disciplinas de projeto de arquitetura, diante da inserção das tecnologias da informação e comunicação no cotidiano de estudantes e professores. Com o objetivo de discutir a efetiva utilização destes recursos no atelier de projeto e qual a postura que os professores têm assumido diante deste quadro, faz-se uma breve análise das práticas pedagógicas adotadas em tais disciplinas nas escolas brasileiras. Busca-se, ainda, refletir sobre as eventuais incongruências existentes entre a evolução das ferramentas de apoio ao projeto e a evolução das qualificações dos professores de projeto. Através dessas discussões e análises pretende-se contribuir para uma avaliação das qualificações necessárias aos professores de projeto atuais – e daqueles que atuarão no futuro – e das práticas pedagógicas a serem utilizadas em um momento, já iminente, em que o uso das ferramentas virtuais predominará e que o professor precisará dialogar com o seu aluno em linguagem compatível.
