Interdisciplinarity This article examines texts compiled in the book “Cinq propositions pour une théorie du paysage,” originally published in French in 1994. It discusses the arguments put forward by the authors of that book to systematize some principles of landscape study as well as connect ideas by either recognizing common concepts or identifying particularities in the texts. Our intention is to provide a comprehensive overview of these texts, rather than a critical review of each of the five individual texts. The texts refer to different disciplines, ranging from history and geography to anthropology and sociology, as well as the arts, literature, linguistics, and philosophy. As a whole, they embody a significant theoretical corpus toward the contemporary epistemology of landscape. Este artículo trae una reflexión acerca de los textos recogidos en el libro “Cinq propositions pour une théorie du paysage”, publicado originalmente en francés, en 1994. Lo que se busca es discutir los argumentos de sus autores, con el objetivo de sistematizar algunos fundamentos para el estudio del paisaje y articular sus reflexiones, ora reconociendo puntos de intersección, ora apuntando particularidades en cada uno de los textos. En este sentido, se propone ser una visión general de la compilación, sin el objetivo de ofrecer una reseña de cada ensayo. Apoyados en diferentesdisciplinas, que van desde la historia y la geografía, hasta la antropología y la sociología, pasando por el arte, la literatura, la lingüística y la filosofía, los cinco textos aportan, en conjunto, un significativo corpus teórico para una epistemología contemporánea del paisaje. Este artigo consiste numa reflexão sobre os textos reunidos na coletânea “Cinq propositions pour une théorie du paysage”, originalmente publicada em francês, em 1994. Busca discutir os argumentos dos autores, na intenção de sistematizar alguns fundamentos para o estudo da paisagem e articular suas reflexões, ora reconhecendo pontos de intersecção, ora apontando particularidades em cada um dos textos. Neste sentido, propõe-se a ser uma visão de conjunto dos textos, sem o objetivo de oferecer uma resenha de cada artigo. Referenciados em diferentes disciplinas, que vão desde a história e a geografia até a antropologia e a sociologia, passando pela arte, literatura, linguística e filosofia, os cinco textos ancoram, em seu conjunto, um substantivo corpus teórico para uma epistemologiacontemporânea da paisagem.
