Our conceptual analysis has been applied to examples of urban intervention –to the parks particularly- that have change their surroundings. The environment preservation and the creation of the infrastructure have motivated the renewal of low rent home areas, urban and market value and have modified the urban proud and identity of inhabitants and travelers of the private and public spaces. El presente artículo trata del espacio urbano público y del privado, y de la necesidad de generar íconos simbólicos para que los habitantes de una ciudad puedan construir ideas de orgullo urbano e identidad social. Nuestra evaluación conceptual ha sido aplicada en ejemplos de intervención urbana –específicamente en parques– que han producido cambios en sus vecindades. La preservación ambiental y la creación de una infraestructura han conducido a la revitalización de zonas de viviendas de baja renta, y también a la revalorización urbana y del mercado, esto, a su vez, ha modificado el sentido de identidad y orgullo urbanos de sus habitantes y de los visitantes de estos espacios públicos y privados.
