After years the infrastructural networks becomes a necessity for the city; the networks evolve, demonstrating their relevance to the city. Bogota’s aqueduct network was built in 1888; it showed constant development and transformation up until the 1950’s. The network can be read as an example of the city’s modernization process, a product of Bogota’s urban planning and investments in infrastructures. Las redes de infraestructura suelen construirse a partir del aprovechamiento de los avances tecnológicos, que luego de un tiempo, se convierten en una necesidad para la ciudad y evolucionan en función de su importancia para ella. El caso de la red de acueducto de Bogotá, la cual fue construida en 1888 y mantuvo un constante desarrollo y transformación hasta la década de 1950, es un ejemplo de ello y de la modernización de la ciudad, producto de la planificación y de las inversiones que realizaron las administraciones locales.
