The methodological profile is qualitative, centered in the study of case from field work, research on previous circumstances and interviews to the involved actors. More specifically, it approaches to the task of the urban project in Argentina, it seeks out on the question of Urban Project as present in the model of promotional management of interventions at an international level or, on the contrary, it just represents a spoiled attempt of application. El artículo surge de la tesis doctoral La Gestión Urbanística Mixta en Ciudades Centrales. Un estudio sobre la intervención en vacíos urbanos, defendida en la Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. El perfil metodológico es cualitativo, centrado en el estudio de caso a partir del trabajo de campo, búsqueda de antecedentes y entrevistas a los actores involucrados. Aborda el rol del proyecto urbano en la Argentina y, más específicamente, ahonda en la cuestión de si el Proyecto Urbano está presente en el modelo de gestión promocional de las intervenciones en el ámbito internacional o, si por el contrario, representa un malogrado intento de aplicación.
