In those terms, the author explores the question about the city-region model, that in a preliminary, stage could be included in the “Agrópolis” concept El presente artículo explora, en términos teóricos e históricos, los principios del actual planeamiento físico, a la luz de la dialéctica entre campo y ciudad. La complejización de esta relación, ha generado un profundo cuestionamiento para las actuales regiones urbanas, lo que para el autor encierra la búsqueda de un modelo ciudad-región que, a priori, podría estar contenido en la noción de “Agrópolis”.
