Resumo:This article conceptualizes the evolution of some dimensions of public space in   contemporary cities. In this sense, the concepts hybrid, sensible, participatory, opportunity and informal are associated with public spaces for the purpose of identifying new ways of understanding and conceiving the urban space, sometimes, outside of established and purely disciplinary channels of   architecture   and   urbanism.  We mainly observe new trends in creating public space under   the   influence   of   new   technologies. Well, these affect a change of perception, foster citizen participation in the processes and lead to changes in the configuration and management of public paces.  So we compile   and   evaluate   innovative   processes   of public space configuration in the context of technological and social change.
