Resumo:Urban transformations require knowledges from different disciplines, however, in reality, many of these projects only take into account technical expertise and distort the knowledge built by the inhabitants of the city. This article adopts Henri Lefebvre’s Spatial Triad Interpretation proposal to understand and analyze the processes observed in the mega-project Parques del Río Medellín. To do so, theory and practice were contrasted between those who  conceive space and those who live it, with the aims to explore the imbalance of power in which citizens find themselves when making decisions regarding the city planning. The result  of this study allowed to perceive a colonization of the lived space and the implementation of a unique vision of the urban space.
