El presente escrito tiene por objeto analizar desde el enfoque de la justicia espacial los efectos territoriales del neoliberalismo aplicado en la Isla de Cascajal, zona insular del Distrito Especial, Industrial, Portuario, Biodiverso y Ecoturístico de Buenaventura, en donde las comunidades afrodescendientes han intensificado los procesos de resistencia social ante las apuestas de renovación urbana adelantadas por la administración distrital a favor del capital trasnacional sobre los terrenos ganados al mar. Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os efeitos espaciais do neoliberalismo, tomando como caso de estudo o distrito especial de Buenaventura, território no qual, desde a perspectiva da justiça espacial, as comunidades negras têm intensificado os processos de organização e mobilização democrática em defesa de seu território e para o desfrute da cidade, resistindo aos processos de renovação urbana desenvolvidos pela administração do distrito e do capital financeiro na área insular de Buenaventura.
