description In this article I will show the theoretical drifts necessary for a critical vision of the urban. I emphasize some in vogue assumptions of the city concept: the dual city, the disputed city, the city in agony and the cultured city, which are configured from an ideological matrix that I will try to confront with a dialectical perspective. The proposals for theoretical drifts to be synthesized are: from dichotomous studies in the city to the dialectical problematization of the urban, from the theory of disputes to the theory of the appropriation of surpluses as the axis of the urban, from idealistic and agonizing homeostasis from the city to the dialectic of the historical-structural conflict of the urban public, and from legitimate culture to alternative culture.

En este artículo mostraré las derivas teóricas necesarias para una visión crítica de lo urbano. Hago énfasis en algunas asunciones en boga del concepto de ciudad: la ciudad dual, la ciudad en disputa, la ciudad en agonía y la ciudad culturizada, que se configuran a partir de una matriz ideológica que trataré de confrontar con una perspectiva dialéctica. Las propuestas de derivas teóricas a sintetizar son: de los estudios dicotómicos en la ciudad a la problematización dialéctica de lo urbano; de la teoría de las disputas a la teoría de la apropiación de excedentes como eje de lo urbano; de la homeostasis idealista y agónica de la ciudad a la dialéctica del conflicto histórico-estructural de lo público urbano y de la cultura legítima a la cultura alterna. Dans cet article, je montrerai les dérives théoriques nécessaires à une vision critique de l'urbain. J'insiste sur certaines hypothèses en vogue du concept de ville: la ville duale, la ville disputée, la ville à l'agonie et la ville cultivée, qui sont configurées à partir d'une matrice idéologique que j'essaierai de confronter dans une perspective dialectique. Les propositions de dérives théoriques à synthétiser sont: des études dichotomiques dans la ville à la problématisation dialectique de l'urbain, de la théorie des conflits à la théorie de l'appropriation des surplus comme axe de l'urbain, de l'homéostasie idéaliste et angoissante de la ville à la dialectique du conflit historico-structurel du public urbain, et de la culture légitime à la culture alternative. Neste artigo, mostrarei os desvios teóricos necessários para uma visão crítica do urbano. Destaco alguns pressupostos em voga do conceito de cidade: a cidade dual, a cidade disputada, a cidade em agonia e a cidade culta, que se configuram a partir de uma matriz ideológica que tentarei confrontar com uma perspectiva dialética. As propostas de derivas teóricas a serem sintetizadas são: dos estudos dicotômicos na cidade à problematização dialética do urbano, da teoria das disputas à teoria da apropriação dos excedentes como eixo do urbano, da homeostase idealística e agonizante de da cidade à dialética do conflito histórico-estrutural do público urbano, e da cultura legítima à cultura alternativa.
