সংক্ষিপ্ত:Particulate Matter is a set of matter dispersed in the atmosphere, this pollutant puts public health at risk, specifically in the respiratory tract due to the concentrations observed in different urban areas. The objective was to evaluate the concentration of PM10 and PM2.5 and its relationship with atmospheric systems. A monitoring was carried out in the dry season of 2018-2019 in 10 different points of the city. Measurements were made from 8:00 to 10:30 am, every 10 minutes with the PM2.5 / PM10 HoldPeak HP-5800F real-time monitor. The site with the highest concentration of PM2.5 was El Pitillal with 13.7 μg/m3, and the lowest concentration was Mojoneras with 7.6 μg/m3, being the trend towards the center of the urban area. In the case of PM10 concentration, the highest values were in the CUC with 66.4 μg/m3, while the lowest value was El Centro with 23.9 μg/m3, being the tendency towards the northeast. As for IMECA, the area is within the good level, although it was observed in some areas, specifically in Las Juntas, the average concentrations of PM10 exceed the maximum value established by the Official Mexican Standard.
