| 總結: | The entire world is going through a severe health crisis, generated by the advance of COVID-19 and its impacts on the health of the vulnerable population. This situation has our cities as battle scenarios, the same ones that play an ambivalent role: they protect and offer shelter to their inhabitants, while exposing them to an unusual risk of contagion as a result of the large agglomerations. This study tries to develop this problem with the analysis of urban indicators. By identifying two independent contagion variables (incidence and growth rate), added to the calculation of bivariate correlation coefficients, it reveals the close links between pre-existing urban features and the spread of the virus. The results urge us to pay attention to the structural weaknesses of our urban spaces. Understood as limitations that, from the perspective of this study, are capable of magnifying the local effects of the current global health emergency. |
