| Tóm tắt: | With a focus on social mobility as a possible indicator of well-being for the social housing inhabitants, in this work we report results of a eld study that reviews the conditions of social mobility in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua during the period 2002-2010, as a result of the acquisition of new housing. This period is considered because it coincides with the application of the national housing policy promoted in Mexico during the same years. The results of this analysis re ect the e ects of the policy intended to address the hou- sing de cit that has been identi ed in Mexico. For the analysis, we used the variable of dwelling change as an indicator of social mobility, assu- ming that moving to a new house should mean an improvement in the quality of life for a family. Using this and other assumptions, we analyzed whether social mobility presents components of this change in the lives of the inhabitants, taking advantage of the multiple o ers of the real estate market in Ciudad Juárez during this period.
