It delimits two different analyses between public space and social housing in two dimensions: urban-architectonic and socioeconomic within a qualitative and quantitative methodology. The cases of study are social housing in a condominium (Geovillas del Real) and social housing in an entire district (Los Mangos 1 & 2), in the Metropolitan Area of Poza Rica and Coatzintla, Veracruz, Mexico. We have demonstrated that the purpose and the urban design in this framework have negative consequences. As a result, the physical, the material, and the socio-economic conditions are determining factors of habitability.
