The model indicates that the variation of aspect due to people’s traffic is proportional, respectively, to the square root of the time, which is given in minutes, and the square root of the traffic, which is given in millions of people. Considering the need to apply the model to any severity level, a study that defines the influence of the load and the concentration of abrasive on the acceleration factor was undertaken. Then, the prediction of the behaviour of four groups of ceramic tiles at different severity conditions was carried out. Finally, this paper presents the application of the model to any kind of ceramic tiles, considering the standard environment and also other severity levels. Este trabalho discute a aplicação do modelo denominado NORIE-LACER-LOPP, proposto para a estimativa da vida útil de placas cerâmicas esmaltadas submetidas à abrasão provocada pelo tráfego de pessoas em livre movimento. O modelo indica que a variação do aspecto decorrente do trânsito de pessoas é proporcional, respectivamente, à raiz quadrada do tempo, dado em minutos, e à raiz quadrada do tráfego, dado em milhões de pessoas. Com vistas à sua aplicação em quaisquer condições de agressividade, realizou-se um estudo que define a influência da carga e da concentração do abrasivo sobre o fator de aceleração. Em seqüência, apresenta-se a previsão de comportamento para quatro grupos de placas cerâmicas considerando-se diferentes condições de agressividade. Por fim, ilustra-se a aplicação do modelo a qualquer tipologia de placas cerâmicas, tanto no ambiente padrão como quando expostas a outros níveis de severidade.
